Forest School aims to get children to enjoy the outdoors, regardless of the weather, and make the most of what nature has to offer. Even on a cold winter’s day, Forest School sessions can run, making the most of the season.

Children are taught safe techniques for using woodland tools, such as loppers and bow saws. They are often used in pairs, encouraging communication, cooperation and respect. They are also taught how to have a safe and responsible attitude towards fire, which is slowly introduced over the course of the sessions, building up to cooking a meal.

Children get the most out of Forest School in small groups for a minimum of 6 x 2 hour regular sessions in a natural setting to see the changes of a season, feel comfortable within the outdoor setting and begin to find themselves.
